Vlogging: Parasocial Relationships

“Parasocial relationships are one-sided relationships, where one person extends emotional energy, interest and time, and the other party, the persona, is completely unaware of the other’s existence. Parasocial relationships are most common with celebrities, organizations (such as sports teams) or television stars.” – Parasocial Relationships: The Nature of Celebrity Fascinations

As promised here is the second post about vlogging. This one I want to talk about the relationship that is formed between the viewer and the creator. It is called a Parasocial Relationship. It is really one sided because the viewer starts to feel like they know the person on the camera. They feel like they know a lot about that person. But the person on the video doesn’t know one thing about the person watching their video.

Vlogging: Long Term Affects (Opinion)

“A video blog or video log, usually shortened to vlog /ˈvlɒɡ/, is a form of blog for which the medium is video, and is a form of web television. Vlog entries often combine embedded video (or a video link) with supporting text, images, and other metadata.” – Video blog – Wikipedia

I watch a few YouTube vloggers and one of them vlogs daily. They are a family vlogger and I love watching them as they do all different things from day to day. I love watching their family grow and just hearing their story. I feel like I know them even though I really don’t. But it has got me thinking. What kind of affect does it have on them long term?

Are Sam And Nia Coming Back To YouTube?

Just about half an hour ago Sam and Nia (YouTube Vloggers) uploaded a video after a month of video silence. Ill let the video speak for it self.

They don’t know when they are coming back but they do plan to post random videos! I hope they realize that they have a supporting fan base and that we want them back. It was nice to see them again and this video is sky rocketing by the minute it currently has 10 thousand views and counting. I know there are still a lot of haters out there, what i have to say to them is; we all make mistakes but God gives us a second chance, God loves us more then we can imagine and He wants the best for us.

Well thats all i have for you today. if you have never heard of Sam and Nia before please check out this site that i made on my spare time. http://samandnia.weebly.com/

Why Blogging Is Better Then Vlogging

Do you blog, or do you vlog? Both things are great, they are a way to get your voice out there. But what way is better and easier to get views. I will tell you what i think, my opinion so it doesn’t mean I’m right, its just what I think. I will compare the two like i did in one of my other posts (The Difference Between Blogging & Vlogging).

Blogging is great because you can share your thoughts through text and you can make it as long or short as you want. If you know how you can write it in a way where people know how you sound if you were to speak it out loud.

Vlogging is also great because if your funny or just entertaining you can express your thoughts out loud with your voice and your actions. And you can collaborate with other people and boost your views. The problem with Vlogging is unless you have a good voice or you look good most people won’t sit there and listen/watch you for the length of your video. With blogging you don’t have that as much.

So overall it all depends on what kind of personality you have. If you can express yourself through actions and your voice then vlogging is for you. If you are good at writing and expressing yourself through text and pictures then blogging is for you. It’s up to you. Thanks everyone for reading this and hopefully you enjoyed it. Please like this post and follow this blog! We made it to 50 followers know the goal is to make it to 100!

The Difference Between Blogging & Vlogging

Blogging, Vlogging isn’t that the same thing except one is in words and the other is on video? Well yes and no, and here is why.

Blogging is sharing your thoughts in words, some people can sit there and write pages and pages worth and others (like me) just write a few paragraphs. To whereas Vlogging is also sharing your thoughts but it actually requires more work…finding a good background, finding a camera and tripod and placing it in the right spot and editing and finding a title and uploading it to YouTube or where ever.  It basically is the same thing just different form of it but I’m just gonna say that blogging is easier in ways but yet harder in others. What do you think, and which one do you like best? Tell me in the comments.

Please follow this blog and share it with your friends, till next time have a good day.
