Valentines Day Spirit

So tomorrow (or today depending on when you are reading this considering it is a late post) is Valentines Day, but you probably already know that. It is the day of love. So like the title we need to get into the spirit of love. it doesn’t matter whether you are single or in a relationship there has to be someone in your life that you love, whether that is your mom, dad, brother or sister or if your married, your wife or if not your girlfriend. I guess what I’m doing is pointing out the obvious but oh well. Really we need to be in the spirit of love everyday all the time. I know its hard with everything that might be going on in your life but really that’s one of the reasons we are here, and hopefully the reason you are alive, because two people loved each other so much that they had you. Sadly that’s not the case for some people. Some people were born on “mistake” but i refuse to believe that. Yeah maybe the couple were just messing around and had a baby but didn’t want it but God put us all here for a reason and in his eyes we are not a mistake. We all have a real reason to be here on earth. We may not not know what yet but God has a plan for all of us whether we like it or not.

I encourage you to love one another even if you aren’t fond of them you can still love them! I hope you enjoyed this post and please consider following this blog and giving feedback!

Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud;  love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs;  love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.  Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.    Love is eternal. ” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a.

Love In Depth; According To The Bible: Love is Patient

This is a series I’d like to do and I’m calling it “Love in Depth; According to the Bible” its about a 17 part series, I hope you like it and learn something new! This is a little bit of what i think this means and also what the bible says it means. I’m trying my best, please let me know it the comments if i miss anything or get something wrong. Here it is!

Like i said in my older post (What Is Love) The Bible says love is “Love is patient and kind; it is not jealous or conceited or proud;  love is not ill-mannered or selfish or irritable; love does not keep a record of wrongs;  love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.  Love never gives up; and its faith, hope, and patience never fail.    Love is eternal. ” – 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a.

So lets go into what Patient means. Well to be patient means to wait, to not be anxious, to not not pushy. Well what does the bible say about God being patient? well one of the verses i found is “The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.” – 2 Peter 3:9

Some more verses are “Let your hope keep you joyful, be patient in your troubles, and pray at all times.” – Romans 12:12  “Be patient, then, my friends, until the Lord comes. See how patient farmers are as they wait for their land to produce precious crops. They wait patiently for the autumn and spring rains.” – James 5:7

So see the bible tells us to be patient. Ill be posting the next post in this series in Wednesday about being kind. Thanks For listening please share with your friends and give me feedback!

Letting Go

I know its hard when someone you love walks out on you, or you just don’t feel the same about them anymore but you don’t want to leave them. I’m not at all trying to say its easy, I’ve been through some of those hard times myself, but you need to learn to let go. You wont be able to let go right away, it’s going to take some time for you to heal up a little bit, you wont heal completely, your still gonna miss that person and maybe even want that person back. One of these days you’re gonna have to move on and let go. Letting go has to be the hardest thing in life, no matter what it is, from letting go of a loved one to letting go of your favorite toy. What is letting go? Letting go is realizing you can’t be with that person anymore and taking the steps to move on.

What are the steps to moving on? Well I’d say step one is not finding someone to fill that hole but finding something. Find something that distracts you from thinking about the pain, a hobby or hang out with people, keep yourself from having too much alone time. Alone time is what really makes it hard because you get bored and you start to think. You think about all the memories you had with that person or you listen to the songs that meant something in that relationship and that can only make it worse. Surround yourself with people who care about you and maybe find someone who you can talk about it with you and someone who will help you to move on.

3 Types of Love

What are the types of love? Are there types? Well that’s a good question. I think there is, so this whole post is just my opinion so please know that i might be wrong. Back to the types of love. I think there are 3 types, well 4 but the last one can kinda go into the 3rd one and ill explain that later. So here they are!

The first type is the good old family love. The kind where you love your family to death and you’d do anything for them. This kind of love everyone should have and probably do have, unless you had a really messed up childhood or non of your family is still alive and if that’s the case then I’m really sorry for you. but even then you probably have or had someone who you grew up with you that was like a mom or dad or brother or sister. Someone who was a guide to you.

The second type of love is the Relationship love, you know the mushy lovey kind. Again everyone should have someone in their life that they can have this kind of love with. Sadly some people don’t, but probably about the same amount of people who don’t there are people who do have that someone in their life. This kind you have to be careful with though. You could end up on the wrong foot and end up losing that person or losing yourself and all your friends around you. Trust me I’ve had experience with this first hand. But the other side of that if your careful with it you can find someone who you will spend the rest of your life with, where the kind of love that i mentioned in another post “What is Love?“.

And The last but not least type of love and the kind where i think it sorta makes it 4 types of love. Friendly love. Now your probably thinking “Friendly love? if i told my friends i loved them then that would just be weird”. Well yeah it probably would but if you think about it you do love them. You would do just about anything for that friend. You care about that person a lot, otherwise you wouldn’t be hanging out with that person, talking to that person, or anything else. Now here’s where the extra 4th one comes in, Best Friend Love. This is your best friends, you hang out with them more, you talk to them more, and you would do more for them then just a normal friend.

Thanks Guys for listening to me ramble about this, please give me feedback on it and look out for more posts like this!
